A growing number of young people are becoming active scuba divers, and in conjunction with this growth, more and more parents are faced with the decision of whether to allow their child to partake in the sport. It is not an easy matter for a parent. It's an especially tough decision for the parent who isn't a qualified diver - lacking any perspective or appreciation for the challenges involved. This means learning to resolve problems on our own, rather than relying solely on the assistance or resources of others.
