National Aquarium in Baltimore

The "Guest Diver Program" at The National Aquarium in
Baltimore consists of two 30-minute dives in the aquarium's
most popular exhibits, the Atlantic Coral Reef and Wings in
the Water. Guests attend a predive program in which they
learn the basics of diving in such an unusual environment.
They also learn the role divers can play in reef
conservation and how to be a good steward of natural
resources. A C-card is required, and divers must be at least
18 years of age.
Depths to: 13 feet (4 m) in the Atlantic Coral Reef
and nine feet (2.7 m) in Wings in the Water.
Aquatic life: Rays, sharks and more than 50 species of
fishes.
Fees: $295 per person for two 30-minute dives.
Tickets must be purchased in advance.

plentiful in the downtown Baltimore area.

Getting there: From New York City, take Interstate 95
south to Baltimore and go through the right tube of the Fort
McHenry Tunnel. Once through the tunnel, stay in the right
lane and take Exit 53, marked Downtown I-395. On I-395, stay
in the center lane until you come to Pratt Street. Oriole
Park at Camden Yards will be on your left. Turn right on
Pratt Street. The Inner Harbor will be to your right. The
aquarium is eight blocks on the right.
