Willow Springs Park, Pennsylvania

This spring-fed quarry in Richland, Pennsylvania, is loaded
with underwater attractions. Divers will come across
everything from a plane, school bus, caboose and Volkswagens
to a crane, cabin cruiser, and a 72-foot boat called
"Quest." Divers must show a c-card and dive with a buddy.
Depths to: 55 feet (17 m)
Visibility: 20-plus feet (6-plus m)
Water temperature: 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit (10-21 degrees
Celsius)
Aquatic life: Includes trout, perch, pickerel, bluegill and
bass.
Fees: $25 per diver per day; season passes available
for $189 per diver.
On-site amenities: Camping facilities, hot showers, ramp for
handicapped divers, heated changing area, rental gear and
air fills.

Getting there: From New York, Northern Jersey and
Allentown, Pennsylvania, take 78 West to Route 501 south
toward Bethel/Myerstown. At the traffic light, turn left on
Route 422 east, go east 3 miles (4.8 km) to the next traffic
light, then turn right on Millardsville Road (sign says to
Richland). Willow Springs is a half-mile down the road on
the left.
